“ETH Wohnforum, founded in 1990, is an interdisciplinary research centre at the Department of Architecture, ETH Zurich. Our research addresses questions of ‘dwelling’, which is considered a multi-layered historical, cultural and societal phenomenon viewed in relation to current developments in architecture and urban planning. Over the last few years, we have expanded this research by examining the processes and instruments in the planning, management and maintenance of infrastructure and residential buildings, using methodologies from the social and cultural sciences. The research at ETH Wohnforum – ETH CASE considers both fundamental and applied questions. The results are disseminated in academic and non-academic publications, in courses to students of architecture, at scientific conferences and at industry symposia.”
